Tip #1
Grow A Targeted Audience

Now, tip number one is to grow a targeted audience.

Many people get this wrong on Instagram in particular. They’re trying all different types of hacks and tricks and things to get as many followers as possible. But in reality what is the purpose of having a follower if they aren’t interested in your posts? If they aren’t interested in your offer?

Truthfully, some people have been misled. They’ve been fed a line from their upline that EVERYONE is your prospect and that you have to try to sell everyone that you come in contact with.

Don’t waste your time

But in reality? That’s false and it’s really a total waste of your time. The beauty of working online is that at your fingertips you have virtually endless amounts of people. So why in the world would you waste time trying to pitch people who are very unlikely to be interested, when with just a little bit of effort you can focus only on those who are MOST likely to be interested?

Think about it for a minute. What does Budweiser do? Think about a Budweiser commercial. In their commercials are they trying to convince people who don’t drink that they should start drinking and they should start drinking their beer? Or maybe they’re wine drinkers? Do they target wine drinkers? Trying to get them to start drinking Budweiser?

No, that’d be a total waste of their money. It’s really ineffective. So why would you do that? It’s much easier to focus on people who already drink beer.

Then just simply convince them to start drinking your beer. Plus, it can actually hurt your account on Instagram. If you’ve got a ton of followers but a really low engagement rate it’s gonna make your account look kinda fake to real people who may be interested.

And, on top of that, it’s gonna tell Instagram that your followers don’t actually like your content. So they’re gonna start showing it to fewer and fewer people.

So what you wanna do is to connect with people who actually have an interest in building a network marketing business.

The awesome thing about Instagram is that they give you an easy way to figure this out. People on Instagram, they actually give you clues as to what their interests are and who is actually interested in network marketing, which is one of the reasons that Instagram is such a great place for network marketers to build their businesses with. Tip #2
Build Trust and Rapport

Tip number two is to build trust and rapport, as the number one priority, with people.

DO NOT just spam your pitch to them. Or, just pitch them immediately. This is a huge mistake that people make both on Instagram and on Facebook. When they immediately pitch someone as soon as they connect with them.

WRONG!!

This is not gonna work. Pitching someone immediately tells them that you only see them as a possible commission, that you don’t care about them as a person.

It immediately breaks any possible trust or rapport and everything that you say from there on out will be put under a microscope of suspicion that you’re just trying to get them. So think about the network marketing company that you joined.

Why did YOU join it? Did you think that it was because the products were just so awesome or maybe because the business opportunity was just too good to pass up?

But really guys, the main reason you joined the company that you did was because someone you knew, you liked, and you trusted asked you join.

All of those other reasons, while still important, are always SECONDARY to the know, like, and trust factor. Just think about it this way. Imagine someone that you didn’t know, someone that you didn’t like, or someone that you didn’t trust asked you to join the exact same company that you’re with now.

Would you have joined? No, you wouldn’t have even given them the time of day to be willing to take a look at it. Remember….

Network Marketing = Relationship Business

Network marketing has been and will always be a R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P business. People buy from and join those that they know, like, and trust. Period. So focus your efforts on building and protecting that know, like, and trust factor. And, marketing on Instagram to get leads gives you a lot of ways to be able to do that on their platform.

And when you know exactly what to post you can actually have people stepping up for more information about your opportunity or your product. This is true marketing on Instagram to get leads and sign-ups for your biz.

Now, we’ll get right back to what exactly you should be posting in just a minute.

Tip #3
Use BIO and IG Stories for Leads

Tip number three, use your bio and your Instagram stories to generate leads for your business. People always, always, always take the path of least resistance.

If someone is interested in joining your opportunity you need to give them an EASY way to take the next step. So you need to have links in your bio and in your Instagram stories to give people an easy way to learn more.

Asking people to DM you or to email you is really ineffective, especially on Instagram. All it does is it creates resistance. And people on Instagram are very unlikely to take that next step if that’s what you’re telling them to do.

Instead, they’re gonna most likely head over to Google or over to Amazon to find out the information that they want and once they do that you’ve totally lost them.
